Ideas for Kandi workshop?

Hey all! I'm going to be holding a kandi workshop panel in a convention soon and I was wondering if people had thoughts about how to do it. My plan is to bring beads and string and just sort of have a section in the room where i can show people the techniques and help them if needed. And if they just want to make something they can just grab beads. For the demo, though, I'm not sure what would be the best to focus on, I've never done this before and I don't want to go too advanced or too basic. Does anyone have thoughts about what they would hope for/expect if they saw a panel about kandi at a fan convention? Thanks!

Id luv2 go2 a kandi panel that talkz abt not only the bead part, but alzo the community + originz of kandi!!1

(assuming) that you want to help people but not have them there for too long in the workshops, small charms like the other person said, singles/doubles, or maybe those ladder stitch lizard charms that everyone makes as kids lol. Maybe bring your own cuffs or projects to show whats possible & what can be made, and offer advice if someones struggling with making those ?

@greeniegrave: thanks for the ideas! I think making a star and a heart would be quick intros to a lot of the basic techniques. And that's a good idea about adding on, i have a lot of base or partially done cuffs that I could add onto. And the thing about spatial reasoning is interesting, there's definitely a big unknown factor when teaching something to strangers. I am hoping that having the hands on in person demo is helpful for at least someone who might have been stumped with video or text tutorials. Or at minimum people have some fun with the beads.

stars are easy, i haven't seen as many people making hearts but i have seen three different ways to make them.

honestly i'd be interested in how to level up your skills? i feel like there's always something new to learn, and always a bigger cuff to make lol i am always surprised by how much math i use to create/adjust patterns, and i wonder how people who have trouble with spatial reasoning make kandi. one of my buddies simply does not understand physical space in the real world, i can't picture him being being able to make cuffs or 3d things (but that might also be his lack of patience).

i digress, but maybe choose your favorite cuff and demo that? or talk about adding to "finished" pieces, like how to use charms better etc
