Girls Rule Single
| Description | Hoo boy, it feels unfair to call this a single because I put SO much work into this. I'm going to a rave tonight and ever since I made the Anime Riverside singles, I've decided that I want to make myself pieces to commemorate every event that I go to. Finding the right letter beads was an ordeal, and then I went through all my beads and picked out the pink ones that I liked, and I was so super excited to finally use my metal/hematite star beads from my most recent Joann's haul! I did use a much thinner elastic than my usual 1mm, I only have a little bit of it and it's from my mom's old beading stuff. It was a pain to work with, only because the holes on the star beads are SO TINY. I had to get sewing thread and basically lasso the elastic to thread it through. I struggled with a needle for a while because I didn't want to get up, and now a little spool of thread is part of my beading kit. But let me talk more about the star beads! The big one on the left originally came with a small gold bead in the middle, but I switched that out for a pink painted hematite bead that fit PERFECTLY in the center. I love how it spins <3 Also, I was thrilled to use the pink and black unicorn/horse bead because I never thought I'd find a project that it was so well suited to. The other stuff is just things I like, going counter clockwise from the words: I LOVE using those little kiss beads; a dragonfruit charm that looks so checker pattern punk here; evil eye charm because I'm still a baby raver; FISH I love fishing; bunny charm that I thought fit very well, broken swirl bead for some quirkiness; rainbow because I love being q***r; mushroom because I love substances; bear because I love bears. There are some details/spacer beads I'd add if I could but this was so much of a hassle to thread that I'll just take it as a learning experience and move on. HOW EVER! There are a few bracelets I need to rethread because I used plastic cord :( Maybe this will be added to that pile? |
